CONYERS, Ga. - High school football was in full effect on Tuesday evening in Conyers, where the Heritage High Patriots hosted the Eastside Eagles in preseason scrimmage. Weather stopped them from playing last Friday night, but nothing could keep them off the field Tuesday night.
Evans Stadium was alive with in your face action, and High 5 was there-- thanks to team mom Lisa Leach, who told us about the game on our High 5 Sports Facebook page.
The Patriots were hoping to bounce back from a 4-6 season in 2009, while Eastside is expected to do great things in 3-A under head coach Rick Hurst. In fact, if things go right, the Eagles could contend for a state championship.
