Jeff Gordon made a pit stop at the Georgia Aquarium on Thursday. Gordon served as the official starter for a special dolphin race.
Next Sunday, Gordon will attempt to defend repeat as champion at the Advocare 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The race is the last before the chase for the Sprint Cup Championship Series.
Gordon is currently on the outside in 16th position -- 77 points behind 10 place Denny Hamlin.
The five time AMS winner has only been to victory lane once in 2012, but feels good about his chances the next few races.
