The Call Me Maybe craze has officially made its way to Gwinnett County Schools, and we've got the video to prove it. A group of video broadcast journalism students from Duluth High School is behind the YouTube version of the ‘Call Me Maybe Lip Dub.'
Senior Trevor Jackson is the editing genius behind the video, and he also shot it. Video broadcast journalism (VBJ) advisor Amy Thomas tells High 5 Sports that Jackson spends lots of time both in and out of the classroom working on video production, and it shows. Meanwhile, two other students—Daniella Guzman and Samantha Chen—were the creative minds behind many of the group shots.
Thomas says the video is something her students had been talking about doing since last school year. After seeing the other Call Me Maybe creations—- like the ones done by the U.S. Marines, the Harvard rowers, and the U.S. Olympic swim team—they decided to hop on the bandwagon and give it a whirl. She says her kids worked really hard, but had "so much fun" making their vision a reality just in time for the new school year.
